The highly anticipated THPUA/ICS vs PD Ports annual cricket match took place under perfect conditions, with blazing sunshine and a great turnout. Team captains Joe Melvin of Graypen, representing THPUA and Ben Williams of and representing PD Ports led their sides with distinction.
The match concluded with THPUA securing victory once again, finishing with 186 runs against PD Ports 121 runs, thereby retaining the trophy for the fourth consecutive year. Special congratulations to Andrew Carr from Navigator Terminals, representing THPUA, who was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance.
A heartfelt thank you to all players, families, and supporters who made the day such a success. Special thanks to Robert Bainbridge from CL Prosser’s and his family for generously preparing a delicious BBQ for everyone. Appreciation also goes to Peter Young for his role as scorekeeper and Dave Turnbull for his excellent umpiring.
