THPUA Annual Golf Day 2020

After a couple of rescheduled dates due to Covid, the THPUA Annual Golf Day 2020 finally took place on 16 October at Wynyard Hall Golf Club. It turned out to be a perfect day, particularly when the sun came out around 3pm as people were returning to the clubhouse courtyard for a well-earned beer – keeping to their four-ball of course to ensure everyone was complying with Covid regulations.

Well done Matt Ord, LV Shipping (pictured being presented with his champers and cup) who was crowned Best Single Member and Andy Beasley, guest of PC Logistics who won Best Single Guest. The ‘orange ball’ competition was a real success, with great efforts from all teams to safely get their orange ball around the course. This was particularly true for new member, SMS Towage, who genuinely looked like they needed some towage support (pictured) as they eventually managed to successfully retrieve their orange ball from a lake. However, in the end, winners of the orange ball competition were CL Prosser’s team lead by team captain Mick O’Donnell.

Other winners were:

Best Team: LV Shipping
Nearest to the Pin 3rd: Michael Parker (PD Ports)
Nearest to the Pin 7th: Marty Swan (LV Shipping)
Longest Drive 10th: Peter Scott (LV Shipping)
Nearest to the Pin 12th: Matt Ord (LV Shipping)
Nearest to the Pin 17th: Kev Ness (Wilton)

Thanks to Kev Ness, Wilton Group, who did an amazing job organising the event and to Robert Bainbridge, CL Prosser for his support. Thank you to all members who donated prizes for the day.
