The annual cricket match between PD Ports and THPUA / ICS returned for the first time since 2019 and saw the port users team achieve an overdue victory, coming out on top by 234 runs to 59.
The match took place at Hutton Rudby Cricket ground on 29 July and brought together port users and shipbrokers from across the Tees Valley.
PD Ports were crowned winners at the last cricket match but were unable to retain the trophy this time around.
The match was enjoyed by a large crowd of port users’ colleagues enjoying the barbeque and drinks.
Can THUPA and ICS retain the title for a second consecutive year in 2023? We will have to wait and see!
The money raised on the night, as well as donations from PD Ports, THPUA and ICS will be donated to a local charity with further news on this to be published soon.
