Intertek, formerly Caleb Brett, has been carrying out independent testing services on Teesside for over 50 years. Based at Seal Sands we have been testing raw materials and final products for a wide range of companies in the chemicals sector both locally and nationally throughout this time and have garnered a good reputation for turning around the required analysis in a fast manner at a reasonable cost.

Specialising in biofuel, chemical, fuel, LPG and oil analysis we currently carry out over 500 individual analyses for a wide range of materials and products to industry standard methods (ASTM, IP, BS, UOP, AOCS) in our laboratory which is fully accredited to ISO17025, ISO9001, ISO14001 & OHSAS18001.

We have also carried out ad hoc work and special projects for local clients in the past using client specific requirements including setting up and validating their own test procedures should we have the facility and equipment to do so.

A new area of growth for the laboratory has been as an emergency testing facility for local clients whereby we act as the back up testing facility for the client in the event of their own laboratory or equipment being out of service.
