ABLE operates a number of strategic sites, predominantly across the North of England, undertaking full site reclamation and associated property development. Our land holding of over 1,600 hectares (4,000 acres) consists of five river frontage sites on the River Tees and two on the Humber Estuary where we provide ports and logistics services. ABLE Seaton Port (ASP) is located in the centre of the UK on the North East Coast close to the mouth of the River Tees and covers 51 hectares (126 acres) including a 10 hectare (25 acre) dry dock – one of the world’s largest. It is capable of handling all types of offshore construction vessels, has significant crane capacity and quays, which have been constructed particularly to suit the requirements of the heavy fabrication industry. Quays 10 & 11 are some of the strongest in Europe at 306m long. They can be dredged to -15m chart datum and are designed with a quay loading capacity of 40T/m² with a heavy load-out pad area capable of 60T/m².

ABLE Humber Port (AHP) is situated on the South bank of the Humber Estuary, East Coast of the UK, which in recent years has been the UK’s fastest growing port and logistics centre.

It consists of ABLE Marine Energy Park (AMEP) which offers 1,389m of new heavy duty deep water quays and 366.7 hectares (906 acres) of developable land. It is designed specifically for the marine renewables sector providing a multi-user facility for the manufacture, storage, assembly and deployment of next generation offshore wind turbines (OWTs) and their associated supply chain(s).

AHP also includes ABLE Logistics Park (ALP) which offers a 497.5 hectares (1,229.5 acres) site with full planning permission in place for the creation of extensive warehousing (1,700,000m² ), external storage and transportation depots. AHP is Europe’s largest new port development providing an exciting proposal for the burgeoning marine renewable energy sector and a variety of port centric logistics functions.

Able Middlesbrough Port – the former Davy/SLP/Odebrecht fabrication facility adjacent to the Riverside Stadium offers truly unique large fabrication halls with numerous gantry cranes and floor rails already installed, alongside heavy load-out quays (6,000T Quay 10 and 4,000T Quay 8&9) and a heavy lift pad of 25T/m² (Quay 1).

Billingham Reach Industrial Estate is on the North Bank of the Tees is a thriving industrial estate with 560m of quay created on the site of the former North Tees Coal Power Station and is zoned for B2 and B8 uses. It is a ideal centrally located distribution and storage facility for Aggregates, Bulk and General Cargo.

Able Clarence Port – the former Teesside Refinery is a 19 hectare (47 acre) site in the heart of the industrial centre of Teesside and offers around 210m of river frontage.
